	Along the journey, leaving Federation territory, upwardly, a new empire is discovered, but they know of the Federation that has existed below them, they are not friendly towards the Federation. They refuse to allow passage, but Captain Clevel decides to push through. The ensuing battle causes great damage to the ship, one of the reasons later they must abandon ship. A certain shield component that can't be replaced gets broken, and it's the special shield modification that allows the ship's engines to safely interact with the rings around the planet. This ultimately results in the ship exploding during evacuation, causing all pods and shuttles to be thrown off course. 			Only some of the escape pods, etc, pass through the Rings, or near the moons, only those that do gain magic, but all gain eternal life. Only the bloodlines of these that gained magic will have magic. Mixes of magical and non magical blood is a chance based on percentage of magical or non magical ancestry.
